Artist's Comments

This is an older and more human-like interpretation of Vaati from the "The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap". I used this picture as for reference, and then added my own touches:

Vaati also appears in the Four Swords games, but he's never had a human form until the Minish Cap.

Nice work, Zin; love to see what it looks like colored. :D

I like the more humanic figure. Should I say I dig it? Yes. ;P

Anyway, nice folds in the clothing, particularly the crotch and the reason I say that is because the pelvis area is always one that requires shape to it to make the legs look attached well. Sometimes I don't see that kind of value there. That and maybe I'm just horny or something, but it may be because I smell garlic and it smells very tasty.

Well done on the hands too. For the time being, I'm gonna use your drawing for hand help because I suck and this happens to just be here. Tankkoo in advanced. ;P I also look forward to this being colored.

Neat. I like it. Personally, I like Vaati as a villian more than Ganon though I don't know why.

Whoa, what a cool interpretation O.O;;

He looks great with the changes you've made and the more humanistic appearance you've applied. Awesome lineart, and I love the angle. You can still tell it's the same character, but you've made him look so much more real.

Fantastic as always, Zin. Your ink jobs are always so smooth, too.

Oo cool sketch

I love Vaati as a character-my latest deviation is of him, DA need more Vaati art :D

Suitable style and nice interpretation-I love how you did the hair, stern facial features and the eye brooch with chain fastening his cape :)

Looks like Nintendo is making this guy nearly as persistant as Gannondorf...*shrugs* Awesome idea Zin...and a great pic to-boot! I can't wait to see color perhaps?

Heh, I had the same idea, though my efforts thus far are far inferior. The folds in the clothing are especially well done. Any plans for a colored version?

Just a few criticisms... his right leg seems... off. Since from the perspective it would be behind his left leg, the knee should be up higher. Also, on the left leg, his knee seems a bit thin.

amazing job, I really like some of the designs you added on him (the chain and those things on his knees) I love how you gave him such a human like look to him, your anatomy is great!

Interesting, and excellently drawn! Which reminds me I have to start planning my own version of him.

(May I try at colouring this?)
